Nevada Consumer Affairs was established by the
Executive Order of former Governor Mike O'Callaghan in April 1971. The division's mission
statement is to provide educational and enforcement programs for businesses and consumers
that live in, work in and visit Nevada, so that they can operate in a marketplace that is fair
and free of deceptive trade practices.
